This space was once lacking the "cozy" and comfortable feel a true den should. However, this space in unlike most dens. This room is open to most of the spacious open-concept home, so incorporating the cool and sophisticated feel of the rest of the home was of great importance. This design was achieved by using the cool blue and slate color scheme to flow into the den, while adding new cozy carpet and a custom designed built-in unit for a cohesive feel. Rather than purchasing new furniture for this space, custom reupholstering was used to refresh and revitalize the sofas. New pillows, and a new lamp were added for a pop of color and pattern. Existing floor lamps were tinted from polished brass to brushed nickel to coordinate with the new look. To complete this room, a custom work of art was framed with a sleek brushed finish.
