The vision for this galley style kitchen started with the homeowner's desire for a fresh, yet Tuscan-traditional look. This narrow space did not allow for decorative lighting, or an expansive island, so the unique details of this design allow this kitchen to stand out with personality and charm. Before, the kitchen was comprised of laminate cabinets, with mid-way uppers. The new design involved hand glazed wood cabinets that reach to the ceiling to both properly fill the space, and provide extra storage. The cabinets were designed with unique elements such as large decorative corbels, and braided moldings. Oil rubbed bronze lattice hardware was added for a pop of contrast, which coordinates with the decorative faucet. The main feature of this kitchen is the custom designed copper hood. To set this space apart from being a mostly "milky" tone, a huge contrast of copper metal was added to draw the eye in, and breakup the cabinets. A Tuscan inspired masterpiece!
