Hello there! I am excited to share all the amazing content this blog has on deck! But first and foremost, a bit about myself as an entrepreneur and designer:
As a small child, I was always very curious about human interaction in interior spaces. From the grocery store, to church, to my own home, I wanted to know more about how people lived and worked in their spaces. I knew I wanted to be an Interior Designer after career day in high school when I saw first hand what the career entailed.
In college, I studied both residential and commercial Interior Design. After graduating from Kent State University in 2015 with a degree in Interior Design (Under the college of Architecture and Environmental Design) I began my ever-evolving career path. I worked as a Design Engineer, learning the basics of human interaction in physical interior spaces. I assisted in wayfinding design, and three-dimensional renderings used for marketing. After signage design I worked in two high-end residential design firms, learning essential tools and practices in interior design, project management, and client communication. I designed several interior projects, and facilitated as a project manager on key accounts. From there, my greatest adventure began.
I always knew my immense drive and passion for “more” was going to take me on a blissful but challenging path. I made the decision to open my own business in the Shenango Valley in the Spring of 2018. Unsure of entrepreneurship, business ownership, and business practices, I educated myself while getting my business up and running. I registered as an LLC, and started taking clients immediately. In my first year of business I retained 15 clients in both residential and commercial realms. I established with national furniture and lighting vendors, built relationships with local builders and contractors, and began to support local professionals in the similar trade. In my second year of business, I have goals to expand my social media and online presence, and add a lifestyle blog to my website.
My long-term goal for my business is to provide attainable interior design services to the public through online platforms, affordable one on one condensed services, and establish a retail location of specialty, hand curated furniture and accessories. By constantly setting new goals to reach, and chase challenges to overcome, my business will continue to evolve. I am proud to be a business owner in the Shenango Valley. This is a town where I grew up, where my family lives, and where my husband and I now reside. I am excited about the direction our community is headed, and I look forward to being apart of this amazing growth. I am continuing to grow in 2019, and I am excited to see where the year takes me!
Have a great day, and remember… design the life you love!
Thank you, Brianna
